GHRoW Scholarships

Supporting Private Christian Education.

The first GHRoW Merit Scholarship, in the amount of $1,000, was awarded in 1994 to SVA sophomore Sarah (Axmaker) Coulter.  Today multiple scholarships are awarded annually that usually total from $30,000 – $40,000.  The total scholarship amounts vary each year because they are based on donations received – every dollar is awarded to the students.  Members of the GHRoW board cover the costs of operating the GHRoW Foundation to ensure every donation goes to the students.

Merit Scholarship

SVA sophomores who attended SVA their freshman year are eligible to apply for the GHRoW Merit Scholarship.  From these sophomores GHRoW scholars are selected based upon financial need, extracurricular activities and academics.  The applicants submit an essay sharing about themselves as part of the application.  The GHRoW Merit Scholarship is applied to the student’s SVA account during their sophomore, junior and senior years at SVA. The Legacy Endowment supports the Merit Scholarship.
